From time to time we will have other league members and guests on the TMB Podcast including FNG, Engh among a few others.

Now for the Podcast Debacle.....

We recorded a GREAT season kick off pod last night. Made our season long picks, went through the analysis, made poop jokes at Clevelands expense, picked our sleeper Super Bowl Champs and gave some next level insight to the Thursday Night Football Matchup. I used the same call recorder app we have used in the past and felt great about it.

I should have known better....When you are TBB everything you touch turns to shit.

I'll have to ask FNG if this ever wears off.

For whatever reason an update in the app apparently causes it to record nothing. Basically a muted mic for an hour and twenty minutes. F-U-C-K!! But I've got the bugs worked out and we will be ready to go for the rest of our Week 1 Slate that will drop either late Friday Night or Saturday Morning.

Super Bowl Sleepers

The instructions here were simple...the top 5 favs were taken off the list, pick your champion

Stoddart - Steelers +2500

After you get past the hardon that Stoddart has for the Steelers they actually are a pretty complete football team. Big Ben is back and they have a solid defense that will be able to stomp their way through a division that has the Browns and the Bengals in it so getting to the playoffs should be a problem. If they can get hot at the right time they have a real shot.

Schwab - Titians +4000

I like this pick a lot. Tannehill has shaken off the mess Miami put his career in and they have a lot of pieces coming back. Henry is a beast and they are extremely well-coached. This is a team that has been overlooked in the past and at 40-1 that's worth a shot.

Chris - Patriots +4000

To be honest I had the Titians on my list too. Damn I like that team a lot. But they are off the board and my second favorite longshot going down the list is the Patriots. I'm hearing a lot of great things coming out of Pats camp and even without the key pieces, the defense is missing due to covid I'm a Cam Believer. Being underestimated is just what Bill likes and Cam is out to prove his critics wrong. Remember they still play in the AFC East with the Jets and Dolphins. Get past the Bills and they are in the playoffs, get hot at the right time and you're in the Super Bowl. And Bill in the Super Bowl.... I'll Make that bet any day.

 

Thursday Night Football - Hou Vs KC -9 o/u 54.5

Stoddart

Stoddart is on both KC laying the points and the over. Too many weapons for KC and with both offenses capable of scoring this should go over with ease.

Schwab is also on KC and the over. KC should score 40 by themselves (look for some team total opportunity) and Watson is capable of scoring 15 by himself.

I am going the other way. I think that there will be some rust to shake off early with no preseason and this being the first truly live reps these teams will be getting. I like them to get off to a slow start (1h under maybe?), trade blows later, and keep the game relatively close. KC will win in a 2nd half shootout...but only 7
